Beth’s Work Experience At SteadyGo

I’m Beth, I am an undergraduate student at the University of Leicester, studying Spanish and Italian with marketing. I finished my year abroad in July and before I return to Leicester for my final year in September, I set myself the task to seek some experience in the working world! I’ve always had an interest in marketing which lead me to get in touch with SteadyGo; a business local to my home town. Amy; the account director responded to my email within a few hours and kindly offered to have me work with the SteadyGo team for a week.

I thoroughly enjoyed the week I spent with them, everyone was so welcoming and happy to tell me all about their role within the business. During my time with the SteadyGo team, I sat in on meetings, shadowed different roles within the office and ate fish and chips! (courtesy of the director Jo). I spent some of my time with Patrick; the freelance designer who taught me all about editing photos in Photoshop. Amy and Rebecca; the account managers set me a competitor research project to work on whilst I was with them. I then discussed my findings with Rebecca on the final day over cupcakes that a very happy client had sent to the team.

I am now feeling more confident in what I want to do in the future once I have graduated and I look forward to keeping up to date with the SteadyGo team via their many social media platforms.

A big Thank You to everyone at SteadyGo for having me!
