Cognita is a worldwide group of 67 schools in Europe, Latin America and South East Asia. They employ some 4,600 teaching and support staff in the care and education of more than 30,000 pupils.
Cognita respect the individuality of each of their schools, each one retaining its own unique ethos, with curricula and programmes tailored to the needs of the parents and children it serves.
With a large and diverse portfolio of schools, Cognita draws upon its international breadth and wide-ranging educational expertise to share best practice across the group.
The challenge was to re-design the Cognita corporate website from the ground up. This began with the simplest of ideas; to make a site that was more welcoming and friendly with a responsive UI design and with our digital expertise of SEO & development finesse in mind.
We wanted to create a powerful message on the homepage to wow the user, we did this by adopting a parallax scroll effect to emphasize the use of large images and a high quality and engaging introductory video.
Using the homepage as a benchmark for the look and feel of the site we expanded on the foundations with some fancy functionality – we developed an advanced school finder, robust global careers section , interactive timeline to communicate Cognita’s legacy and success and an enriching News section – with the aim to connect the Cognita family with fresh new content.
For Cognita it’s all about communicating the global brand and raising brand awareness, but also and most importantly so, it’s about the family of schools – each having it’s own identity, character and history. Together they form a progressive worldwide teaching organisation.
